TWSC Statement To Hiroshima Commemoration August 6, 2011

2011年8月6日ヒロシマへのTWSCメッセージ

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

兄弟姉妹のみなさん、

The Transport Workers Solidarity Committee TWSC sends our greetings to those
transportation workers and the working people and youth of Japan who are commemorating
the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

運輸労働者連帯委員会（TWSC)は、ここに、ヒロシマ、ナガサキの原爆投下を記念する運輸労働者など全労働者と青年たちに、連帯のあいさつを送ります。

The Japanese people are now recipients of not only the US nuclear bombings of Japan but the present radioactive disaster at
Fukushima. The criminal cover-up of the Fukushima melt-down
and the accompanying radiation contamination is man made and the collusion
between TEPCO and the Japanese government in lying to the Japanese people
and people around the world about this disaster is inexcusable.

日本の民衆はアメリカの原爆投下のみならず、今進行中のフクシマの放射能大災害に遭遇しています。フクシマ・メルトダウンの犯罪的隠蔽と放射能汚染は、まさに人災であり、日本人民と全世界の人民にウソをつき続けるTEPCOと日本政府の共謀行為です。したがって、この惨事は全く許しがたいものです。

Those temporary workers, nuclear plant workers and and the people of Fukushima are now
suffering serious radioactive poisoning that will last for generations.

非正規職労働者、原発労働者そしてフクシマの民衆は、今、世代を通して続く大変な放射能汚染に直面しています。

The US government and companies like GE, Westinghouse
and Bechtel have in fact coerced Japan to develop so called "safe peaceful nuclear
energy" in the post-war period.
At the same time, US continues to use depleted uranium weapons in Iraq,
Afghanistan, Libya and throughout the MIddle East that is contaminating
the people of the region with nuclear radiation.

アメリカ政府とGE、ウェスティングハウス、べクテルなどの企業は、第2次大戦後、日本に対して「安全で平和な原子力エネルギー」なるものの展開を事実上強制してきました。
同時にアメリカは、イラク、アフガニスタン、リビアなど中東の全域に劣化ウラン兵器を使い続け、その地域のすべての民衆を放射能で汚染させています。

These companies and the US government are equally responsible for this
worldwide catastrophe and yet both the US government continues to push
more nuclear plants and weapons. They were completely aware that these plants were
built on the "ring of fire" fault line and a dangerous earthquake could threaten
these plants yet the drive for profits is what is primary for thesecompanies.

これら企業とアメリカ政府は、この全世界的大惨事に等しく責任がありにもかかわらず、さらなる原発と核兵器の建設・生産を推し進めています。彼らはまた、多くの原発が「環太平洋火山帯」とその活断層上に建設されており、地震が間違いなくこれら原発の脅威となることを知り抜いています。しかし利潤の追求が、これら企業の最優先事項ということなのです。

We support your call for the closure of all Japanese nuclear plants and the
compensation of all residents of the Fukushima area. We support the struggle
of workers, farmers and youth of Japan and join with you today in solidarity
for a just and environmentally safe world controlled by the workers and people.
Only united action of workers power in Japan, the US and internationally can
stop these man-made environmental catastrophe's.
Victory to your struggle.

私たちは、日本の全原発の閉鎖とフクシマの全住民への完全な補償という貴呼びかけを断固支持します。そして私たちは、日本の労働者、農民そして多くの青年たちの闘いを支持し、労働者民衆が運営する“環境を破壊しない正義に満ちた世界”の建設のため、本日、連帯して共に立ち上がります。
日本、アメリカそして全世界の労働者の統一行動のみが、人災である環境大惨事を食い止めることができます。
